Thoughts from an insomniac, inspired by Anna Kavan's “Asylum piece”. Like me, the author regularly suffered from sleep deprivation. Her poetic language expressed so well the melancholic stream of almost alien thoughts and imaginations which appear when sleep refuses to come.
